We adopted a rather radical approach to our House of Rum bottlings. All our expressions are the product of a single vintage and a single cask, and are bottled in their purest form: undiluted at cask strength, no sugar for sweetness, no caramel for colour, and absolutley no additives.

The high heat increases the amount of liquid that evaporated during maturation. Known as the Angel’s share across Europe, it is called the Devil’s share in the Tropics, probably because such strong evaporation; about 8 or 9% per year is very expensive for producers. That is why you can find El Diabalo on each of our bottles
